Family Hotel Gran Ivan

The most comfortable mattress out of the 4 hotels I’ve stayed (3-5*) on my short tour in Bulgaria. Lots of space. Walk in shower appreciated as I have mobility issues (most accessible room from what I can see). Stocked minibar (pay by item) a nice touch for weary travelers. Location near city bus stops. A shop at the end of the road. I felt safe as a female solo traveler. Although I had the car park outside my window/door I slept well. They also offer travel items at the reception which is appreciated.

Great value for its price, friendly and helpful administrators, clean rooms, reasonable prices for mini bar.

Room: It was quite big and clean. The beds were decently comfortable and there was no problem with the surrounding noise. THe AC works fine in case you need it. Bathroom: There was running hot water and the the toilet flushed properly. It was quite clean. Breakfast: You will get a selection of ham, cheese of variosu sorts, a cucumber, a banana, coffee, butter and jam Staff: They were very helpful and very nice. Location: You have a sueprmarket nearby and the Grand Mall of Varna is a 10 minutes walk away. You are 30 minutes from the city centre on foot.

We would like to thank the owners of this family hotel for organizing parking for our bus. We arrived in a large 49-seater bus, and it was not possible to park inside the hotel's own parking space, so the hotel paid for a parking spot in a nearby autobus station and advised us where to park. Very well thought and much appreciated!

It was extremely good value for money and offered pre-booked parking which in Varna is a definite bonus. The staff, both on check in and check out, were extremely pleasant and helpful. Our room though a little basic was comfortable and clean and there was constant hot water and clean towels. The bar/lounge area was very pleasant too where early morning coffee was available from the staff on request. We went with friends and although we had only booked two double rooms their room was spacious with a very nice seating area which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel was a short distance off of the main road but we were unaware of any traffic noise. It was ideally situated for us as it was a very short walk to the Grand Mall, which is huge and has everything you need including a food hall, and this is where we wanted to go. We stayed only one night as we had to be at the airport early the next day and again, because the hotel is near to the main road through Varna, it was a perfect location and we got to the airport easily. There was a very well stocked grocery shop within a short distance of the hotel. I would happily use this hotel for trips like this in the future.
